Brian Thomason

CCO and Founding Partner Brian Thomason has been involved in crude oil production, trading and the midstream businesses for 17 years. He most recently served as one of the lead crude oil traders for Motiva Enterprises, LLC with full responsibility for the Canadian supply and trading activities. Prior to Motiva, Brian was the director of Gulf Coast crude oil marketing for ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP). During his 10-year tenure at ConocoPhillips, Brian had exposure across all midstream functions, including marine, trucking, pipeline and terminal assets. Upon the split of P66/COP in 2012, Brian was instrumental in developing the commercial strategy for all Gulf Coast assets including the Eagle Ford basin, where he facilitated marketing activities for 130,000 bpd of crude production. The highlight came in 2015 when he facilitated the first crude oil export shipment after the export ban was lifted. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University.
