Job Overview:
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipeline Integrity Manager to oversee all aspect of company’s pipeline, storage tank and facility piping integrity management programs. The Integrity Manager will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal and state integrity regulations, industry standards and internal strategic goals. This position requires a deep understanding of risk analysis and mitigation strategies, the full spectrum of inspection technologies and repair methodologies. The successful candidate will lead efforts in identifying risks, managing assessments, and implementing maintenance and ongoing inspection programs to ensure the longevity and reliability of pipeline and terminal assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Integrity Program Development: Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive pipeline integrity management program, including developing a risk model, necessary inspection protocols, and preventive maintenance procedures to ensure pipeline reliability and safety.
- Inspection & Assessment: Oversee development of inspection schedules, selection of vendors and integrity assessment technologies. Ensure that data collection and analysis align with regulatory requirements. Oversee regulatory repairs and replacement projects.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all programs comply with federal, state and local regulations including the management of necessary documentation and reporting to regulatory bodies. Interface with agencies during audits and inquiries,
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to pipeline and terminal operations, including corrosion, mechanical failures, and external threats. Implement corrective actions and preventive strategies based on risk analysis.
- Data Analysis & documentation: Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging issues. Provide detailed reports and recommendations to senior management regarding pipeline performance, potential failures, and integrity risks.
- Project Management: Oversee pipeline integrity-related projects, including budget management, scheduling, and coordination with other departments such as operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by staying up-to-date with the latest industry advancements in pipeline technology, maintenance practices, and integrity management solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree of Engineering (Mechanical, Civil) or related science field preferred. Certification in integrity management or related disciplines (e.g., NACE, API 653) with extensive experience, in lieu of degree will be considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years integrity management experience in the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record in pipeline inspection, risk management, and preventive maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline integrity standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., PHMSA, TRRC, ASME, API, NACE).
- Experience in the use of software and computer systems for data analysis, inspection, and risk assessment.
- Skills
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on being proactive not reactive.
- Advanced knowledge of corrosion management techniques and technologies.
- Experience with leak detection systems and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Knowledge of GIS and pipeline mapping tools.
Physical Demands:
- This role will require frequent site visits and fieldwork which will involve exposure to outdoor elements and potentially hazardous environments.
- Flexibility in working hours is expected with potential for on-call or emergency response situations.
