Brian Thomason
Brian is Chief Commercial Officer for Edgewater Midstream and has served in various leadership positions at midstream companies for over twenty years. With an extensive background in downstream and midstream businesses, Brian has a deep knowledge of transportation fuels markets and associated midstream logistics. Before co-founding Edgewater, Brian was a lead crude oil supplier for Motiva Enterprises LLC's 630,000 b/d Port Arthur refinery. In this expansive role, Brian additionally managed the transportation of international and domestic crude oil through third-party and Motiva-owned ships, pipelines, and terminals. Previously Brian worked at ConocoPhillips, where he managed the marketing and business development activities for ConocoPhillips' Gulf Coast region, facilitating the midstream logistics of the 130,000 b/d Eagle Ford basin and offshore Gulf of Mexico crude oil production. Brian’s highlight at ConocoPhillips came when he facilitated the first crude oil export upon the lifting of the export ban in 2015.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science-Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University – College Station.
